Mo Budron, an elderly Tibetan, was living in a small shack with no heating, rags for clothes, utterly destitute. She didn't know of basic comforts like clean bedsheets or hot showers. When we saw her in these conditions (photo), we were driven to act.

Help Tibet was the result, and our first project was the Thonden Ling Old People's Home, in Nepal. It opened on 1st April 1990.

We now maintain three homes, caring for over 120 people in Nepal and India, and support another 126 in their own homes. Click below for more detail.
